Summary:

This resolution will approve a supplement that increases the total contract amount over $200,000 for the design and engineering of Fish Passable Structures 2021 consultant contract with PBS Engineering and Environmental, Inc.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, approval from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is required for all contracts, projects, agreement, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving expenditures in excess of $200,000 per year; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 20-404 was issued by the BOCC in order to solicit submittals from consultants to complete work for the design and engineering of fish passable structures. Lewis County Public Works does not have the required resources to complete this work within the scheduled time; and

WHEREAS, on January 19, 2021, the Director of Public Works approved an Annual Consultant Agreement with PBS Engineering and Environmental, Inc. for services for design and engineering of fish passable structures. The approval of Resolution No 21-072, Supplement #1, increased the total contract (DEFPS2021) value to $240,000; and

WHEREAS, Supplement #2 in the amount of $100,000 is required in order to complete work for new anticipated task orders for a culvert replacement at Centralia Alpha Road as well as amendments to existing task orders.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Supplement #2, increasing the total contract amount to $340,000, is hereby approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
