Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Steele Trucking, Inc.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued July 15, 2021, for the Jackson Hwy South MP 2.11 Scour Mitigation Project, CMP Project No. 2102; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows

WHEREAS, Steele Trucking, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $152,116.00 for the Jackson Hwy South MP 2.11 Scour Mitigation Project, CMP Project No. 2102.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Jackson Hwy South MP 2.11 Scour Mitigation Project, CMP Project No. 2102 shall be awarded to Steele Trucking, Inc. in the amount of $152,116.00 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
