Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) created the Lewis County Outdoor Recreation and Tourism (LCORT) Advisory Commission via Resolution 20-450 on December 14, 2020; and

WHEREAS, the LCORT Advisory Commission consists of seven members of the public appointed by the BOCC as well as one Lewis County Commissioner; and

WHEREAS, board member Chris Brewer has stepped down from the LCORT Advisory Commission; and

WHEREAS, Mirinda Moriarty has indicated a willingness to serve on the commission; and

WHEREAS, per Resolution 20-450, initial terms for the LCORT Advisory Commission are staggered in one- and two-year terms; and

WHEREAS, Chris Brewer's position was for a one-year term expiring December 31, 2021; and

WHEREAS, it is in the public's best interest to fill the vacancy on the LCORT Advisory Commission.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby appoints Mirinda Moriarty to serve on the LCORT Advisory Commission to complete Chris Brewer's unexpired term ending December 31, 2021.
