Summary:

This resolution will issue a call for bids for the Cowlitz River Public Access Point Project, CMP 15-1606.

Bids for this proposal shall be submitted to the Clerk of the BOCC (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, WA 98532) by or before 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021, and will be opened on or after 12:15  p.m. on August 12, 2021, subject to official proposal addenda that establishes an alternate bid due date or opening time.

Resolution

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) wishes to improve Lewis County property adjacent to the Cowlitz River at Alta Drive MP 0.05 by clearing & grubbing, excavation, installing a precast concrete vault double toilet, constructing a gravel access road/parking lot with retaining wall, constructing a gravel walking trail & log stringer walk bridge, stormwater infiltration pond construction, planting mitigation, hydroseeding, interpretive sign & bird nesting box installation, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, construction projects exceeding a certain monetary threshold must be competitively bid; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 20-103, the BOCC adopted the 2020 WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction and this proposal shall be performed by contract in accordance with the latest version of the WSDOT Standard Specifications.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is instructed to issue a Call for Bids and Contract Specifications for Cowlitz River Public Access Point Project, CMP 15-1606. Bids for this proposal shall be submitted to the Clerk of the BOCC (351 N.W. North Street, Room 210, CMS-01, Chehalis, WA 98532) by or before 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021, and will be opened on or after 12:15 p.m. on August 12, 2021, subject to official proposal addenda that establishes an alternate bid due date or opening time.
