Summary:

A call for bids for the 2021 Countywide Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2192A was made on May 6, 2021. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and Lewis County's website. Public Works received one (1) bids for this project May 20, 2021. Ground Up Road Construction provided the lowest responsive bid  of $100,889.40. The engineer's estimate was $128,582.80. Public Works staff recommends acceptance of the low bid provided by Ground Up Road Construction.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued May 6, 2021, for the 2021 Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2192A; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

Ground Up Road Construction, Milton, WA	$100,889.40

WHEREAS, Ground Up Road Construction provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $100,889.40 for the 2021 Countywide Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2192A.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the 2021 Countywide Base Stabilization Project, CRP 2192A shall be awarded to Ground Up Road Construction in the amount of $100,889.40 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
