Resolution

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) concurs with the decision of the Lewis County Fire Marshal and Lewis County Fire Chiefs Association that weather conditions have improved to allow open burning by permit on all unincorporated lands regulated by Lewis County effective April 27, 2021; and

WHEREAS, this modification and upgrade allows open burning by permit effective April 27, 2021, at 8:00 A.M. throughout lands regulated by Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, the burning of debris in city limits and urban growth areas remains prohibited at all times; and

WHEREAS, previous burn permits expired and were not valid during burn restrictions, updated burn permits will be required.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby modifies Resolution 21-166 to allow open burning by permit on all lands regulated by Lewis County, effective at 8:00 A.M. April 27, 2021, until rescinded by like resolution of the BOCC.
